“I am Joe and you are my true love”. They are not 235, but the magnetic and robotic candidates, run the catwalk to reach Asimov: diligent employees, in rap version. This is science fiction, too. Karl Lagerfeld as well, is searching for the True Love, without being satisfied with triviality niether in this SS17, as he is absorbed in his usual and constant research for innovation.
Tweed returns, resonance of a never died past.

Love is searched for with the same perseverance, among the pages: between a real Joe and a fake Milton. Between metallic ballerinas and suede boots. Burning with desire for explaining and showing, Lagerfeld, like Isaac, composes a kind of futurism that can “take something reasonably intricate and make it clear, step by step”.
First Fashion-Book crossover. At this point, we should spend some few words to better clarify the background. The passage that mostly connected me with the Chanel fashion show atmosphere, was taken from the collection “The Complete Robot” written by Isaac Asimov.
Born in Russia, his family emigrated in the USA when he was three years old. Famous science fiction writer, professor of biochemistry, politically progressive, Asimov captivates the reader in a mixture of literary fiction and science realism, which make his works real and imaginary at the same time. Outright scenarios for a possible future. The story “True love” is very short, fluid and simple, extremely relevant as well. The obsession “obsesses” us: this is our keyword. Obsession in the research of the True Love, the same love that Milton chases after with the most incredible methods, still anchored to stereotyped and ordinary traditions, such as the existence of a soul mate. In some way Lagerfeld lives in this jumble: his research for the True Love mechanically reflects on the never forgotten old tradition, but reconsidered in a modern, avant-garde way, oriented to a future still to be designed.
